FAQ : Frequently Asked Questions about PBS Insoles

Q1 : How long do I need to wear PBS insoles to heal my condition?

Each person may experience different results, but most people notice improvements within about 3 weeks. However, this depends on each individual's physical condition, fitness level, age, lifestyle, and daily activities. It also depends on past experiences such as whether they were previously athletes or runners, whether they have had any accidents or injuries, or whether they regularly wore high heels as part of their daily life. All of these factors can affect the body in various ways.

Q2 : Do I need to wear PBS insoles all the time? (For adults)

Not necessarily. We simply recommend that users wear the PBS insoles consistently during the first 2-3 weeks to achieve clearer and faster results.

Once you're satisfied with the results, you can adjust how often you wear them each day based on your activities and daily needs.

However, if you stop wearing them for an extended period, your previous discomfort may return. In our experience, most users find it difficult to stop using the insoles because they feel much more comfortable while wearing them-not only in their feet but also in other parts of the body where they previously experienced pain.

Q3 : Do I need to wear insoles all the time? (In the case of children)

For children, we recommend wearing the PBS insoles as much as possible. Ideally throughout the day whenever they are awake and standing or walking.

Q4 : How long should I wear the insoles to achieve the best results?

After your body has adjusted to the insoles, existing pain and discomfort may begin to improve within 2–3 weeks. To achieve the best results, continued use for at least 3 months is recommended. Please note that if you stop wearing the insoles for a certain period, previous pain or discomfort may gradually return.

Q5 : Does wearing insoles hurt? If so, how long does the pain last?

The level of discomfort varies from person to person. Some users feel comfortable immediately upon wearing the insoles, while others may need some time for their body to adapt and respond.

However, in most cases, it takes no more than 2 weeks for the feet to begin adjusting and for pain to improve.

In children, because their feet are highly flexible, they typically do not experience any pain at all and can continue their normal daily activities immediately.

Q6 : When using insoles to correct flat feet, do I need to change my shoe size?

It depends on the individual. Some people can continue wearing their usual shoe size, while others may need to go up half a size or even a full size.

For that reason, we don't recommend changing your shoe size before you receive your custom insoles. We suggest waiting until your insoles have been properly fitted, then bringing them with you when trying on the new shoes you plan to buy. This will help you choose the shoe size that providesthe best fit and the greatest comfort.

Q7 : How long do the insoles last?

The insoles can last for up to 5 years. Depend on your lifestyle and how you use them. For example, someone who regularly runs marathons may experience faster wear than someone who uses the insoles for everyday activities.

To keep your insoles in the best condition, we offer a maintenance service for THB 300 every 6 months. You don't need to visit the clinic in person. Simply contact our admin team to arrange for your insoles to be sent back to us for maintenance, and we'll return them to you once the service is complete.

Q8 : Can PBS insoles be used for exercise? How long do I need to wait before I can start exercising?

Yes. You can wear PBS insoles for exercise, including running and gym workouts.

Based on Teacher William's experience and feedback from many of our previous clients, most people report that running with their PBS insoles feels better than before. This is often because the insoles help improve body alignment and weight distribution. Many runners who previously experienced an uneven gait or pain caused by imbalance between the left and right sides of the body notice improved comfort and stability.

That said, we recommend allowing your body to fully adapt to the insoles before returning to full-intensity exercise. First, wear them during your normal daily activities until you no longer experience any discomfort. Then begin with light jogging and gradually increase your training intensity

For most people, this transition takes about 4-6 weeks after they are completely comfortable wearing the insoles, or approximately 2 months after receiving their PBS insoles. Since everyone's body adapts at a different pace, it's important to increase your activity level gradually and listen to your body's response.

Q9 : What are the differences in foot correction between children and adults?

The approach to treatment differs between adults and children because their feet are at different stages of development.

For adults, a single pair of custom insoles can often be used for many years with proper care. The goal is to provide long-term support, improve foot alignment, relieve discomfort, and enhance overall function. However, because the adult foot has already fully developed, ongoing support is typically needed to maintain these benefits.

For children, the feet are still growing, so treatment focuses on guiding healthy foot development while the body is maturing. To achieve the best results, children need to wear their custom insoles consistently throughout their growing years. As their feet grow, the insoles must be replaced whenever they outgrow them or move up to a larger shoe size. This means treatment for children generally requires more frequent follow-up visits and a higher overall cost than treatment for adults.

On the other hand, children usually adapt to the insoles much more easily than adults. Because their bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles are still highly flexible, they typically experience little to no discomfort during the adjustment period.

Q10 : What are the youngest and oldest ages for treating foot deformities in children, andhow long does treatment take?

Foot deformity correction can begin from approximately 5 years of age and is ideally performed before 12 years old. For children aged 13-14, a specialist assessment isrequired to determine whether correction is still feasible. Earlier intervention generally leads to better outcomes.
