He is certified as a Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) by the American Board for Certification. He has also received certification from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a VA- Qualified Prosthetist (VAQP).
He has nearly five decades of clinical practice in the field of orthotics and prosthetics (O&P), and has served as President of the American Board for Certification (ABC), President of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP), and as Chair of the Orthotic & Prosthetic National Office, a governing board representing ABC, AAOP, and the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
In 2009, he received the prestigious Distinguished Practitioner Award from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists in recognition of his dedication and leadership in advancing the Academy's mission.
Throughout his career, he has worked extensively in the United States and with the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), including international humanitarian missions. He has also served on various boards, providing consultation, education, and lectures worldwide.
He has been a board member and advisor/educator for The Human Study e.V. since its establishment in mid-2000. More recently, he has entered into a three-year agreement with the Nippon Foundation and the Faculty of Medicine, Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Mahidol University (Thailand).
